The Pie Shop at the ‘VIADUKT Market hall 

The Pie Shop is not like any other pie shop- this one sells savory meat

and vegetable pies with their shop logo branded on top!

The menu ranges from the traditional Shepherd’s pie to Chicken pie 

and their very own Pork & Apple pie,

all of which are ‘freshly cooked, freshly baked and freshly served.’

Everyday, The Pie Shop is busy cooking and baking fresh pies from their main kitchen,

located north of the Limmat River in Zurich, Switzerland.

The significance of the shop’s main kitchen is its dining area where intimate conversations

are had and where strangers become friends. 

This familial interior provides a nostalgic experience by taking us back to

when our grandmothers/mothers used to bake homemade pies for family and friends.

A more accessible extension of The Pie Shop is located in the ‘VIADUKT Market Hall’ 

just across the Limmat River, where a batch of fresh pies are delivered 

from the main kitchen and displayed alongside chalked menus.

The pies are freshly ‘branded’ with the shop’s logo and sold in the market daily.

The Pie Shop shares the delight found in freshly homemade goods,

where things like handwritten menus, branded pie tops,

daily market deliveries and communal dining tables all serve to create a a very fresh, local experience.
