Bloomingdale’s


Bloomingdale’s showcases a series of their holiday shopping bag designs from the past 

in window displays along their storefront. These shopping bags open up to feature 

mechanically animated characters that extend in and out of the front, creating a fun holiday-spirited display.


 

To create an engaging experience, the window displays also act as a photo booth for those 

passing by the department store. At the push of a button, people can have their photo taken 

while viewing the window display. A series of live monitors showcase the captured photo, 

which can be shared on Bloomingdale’s Facebook page. By creating an interactive experience via 

the store’s window display, Bloomingdale’s is aggregating live content in the form of photos to create 

a feed of user-generated content.
